          Shri Ratheesh babu was introduced to the world of Indian Classical Dance at the age of five hundred the tutelage of GURU Kalanilayam Krishnan Kutty, Kerala and learned his first steps in Mohiniattam. Then he moved ahead and learned the intricacies of Bharatnatyam and Kuchippudi dance from under the able guidance of Smt. Amritam Gopinath, Aryakalanilayam. Then he moved to Chennai to specialize in Baratnatyam Under the Guidance of Kalaimamani Padmashri Shri Adayar K. Laxman, Chennai.


          He has displayed his immense talent performing in all major Sabhas and festivals in India and abroad. A graceful and gifted dancer, Ratheesh Babu is a classicist in the field of Baratnatyam, Kuchipudi and Mohiniattam as a dancer, teacher and choreographer. He is the founder Director of "NRITHYATHI KALAKSHETRAM" School of Indian Classical Dance in Chhattisgarh.

          He has also been adored with several prestigious awards from Govt. as well as renowned cultural samithi's. He has staged approximately 700 plus shows both solo and group dances. He has been honoured with many awards and titles
 
Nrithyathi Kalakshretram
        "NRITHYATHI KALAKSHETRAM" was founded by Natya Choodamani, Nrityavibhushan Shri G. Ratheesh Babu nearly two decades ago. He has been grooming dancers of the future, promoting traditional Indian dance forms and giving training in Bhartnatyam, Kuchippudi & Mohiniattam.

        The school had made a begining with two students and currently 500 students are receiving lessons . Till date more than 2000 students have learned this ancient dance form. Today the school is registered with `Sports & Recreation Department, Bhilai Steel Plant, CG Government.

        The school is renowned for emphasizing on the basics and theory behind dance by conducting regular workshops. Students performing their `Arangetrams'after rigorous training in basic theory, introduction to items and expertise in Abhinaya & Natuvangam. Students regularly performing in various natya samiti's all over India and won many national awards and getting scholarships. Students have also absorbed permanent employment in central government offices.
